The Christian children’s and youth organisation “Die Arche” (“The Ark”) is committed to the support of children and young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. Originally founded in Berlin, the Arche is now active in 25 locations throughout Germany.
The Arche’s aim is improving the living conditions of disadvantaged children and families and to ensure more equal opportunities and integration. Employees and volunteers help children and young people to discover their potential through a wide range of leisure and sporting activities, promote their talents and empower them for an independent life. Many former “Ark Children” are involved in working with children and young people, thus making their contribution to society.
